I forgot to mention the sender of the package is the lovely Ms. Sarah Lobello. Propers, Sarah.
Other news:
- I beat DMC3 and I think I’m moving on to FFVI. But that might be hard because Pop’n Music is all I play.
- I’m watching FMA, which wins every single episode (at least up to episode 27), and Trigun, which achieves unprecedented mediocrity with every episode.
- Gyoza has become my favorite Japanese food. I eat it whenever I see it on a menu for real. But mochi with anco (the red bean paste stuff) is also extremely good.
- I won TV by hooking up a coax cable to my wall, so endless TV on around 10 channels cost me a flat fee of $10. TV is not especially good here, but it’s what I imagine American TV was like in the 60s: only three channels and every night during prime time everyone around the nation watched whatever special was being broadcast that night.
- I can’t tell if it’s lame or not that I’ve been mostly unable to take advantage of being in Japan by buying Japan-only games or buying games before they come out in America. I guess as long as I’m satisfied with what I’m playing; and I am.
- It’s still cold here, but once a week or so nowadays we’ll have a cozily cool afternoon. It makes me long for the warmth. But in Japan, it jumps from freezing to boiling. So blech.
- I won’t be able to bring home souvenirs because I’m out of money right now. Instead, I will either mail them once I get back here, or bring them home with me in July.
